oh well as long as someone is working on it i supose it will get fixed some
time. I have got a little used to the linux/open source world where bugs DO
get fixed quickly (generally), and anyone can have a go at fixing a bug
because they have the source code. Unfortunately I have to use MS Windows
for legacy purposes. We see quite a few staff through our small office
(including temps etc) and presenting them with Star Office when they are
used to ms word would be too steep. SO I have to use an Win based emailer,
I am pretty sold on the Bat so far!!

Subject: Was: Filtering not working - if the bugs don't get fixed, whats
the point of paying for it? - my answer

Tuesday, February 08, 2000

Thank you John, Tracer, Allie & Nick for your imput on the "Filtering"
issue, I've fixed it - I made it easier for little Bat and just left the
senders' email address as the main string in all my filters, so far so
good, everything ends up in the right place now.

On this "if the bugs don't get fixed, whats the point of paying for it?"
issue Nick wrote about, well I don't know, IMHO, and I'm not trying to
say that Nick was "picky" here, eah, well, I personaly don't mind buggs in
programs I've paid for.
I've been following The_Bat's development over the years and I've finaly
bought it when I decided to use it as my main email client. I love the
interface, the folder structure, the templates...

I've got Outlook 2000 for free from my work (the licence bought allows
employees to install it at home as well ), I've tested many other email
clients but I just fell in love with TB and that's it.
And I don't mind buggs, especialy if there is a smart way around them, hey,
you guys helped me to solve the problem, and that's what counts. Of course
I'm very excited about the next version, but I guess there will be buggs in
it as well. Oh, well, why be perfect ?
Thanks everybody again.
