First, where TB! should take the name? From subject, from author, from
your thoughts about this message? To what do you want to change this
behavior? Or you want TB! to ask you for name when exporting? I can
imagine that for exporting a single message, but I don't think it will
be good for exporting a batch of, say, 40 messages.

Why want to store messages apart from message base? I usually use
export just to make some changes that TB! doesn't allow to perform and
to import back. So I don't care about filename at all. 00000001.msg is
just OK by me.

That is exactly what export is designed to.

So you need not an export but Message/Save as... (Alt-F5).
You want to save several messages at a time, but to have them in
different files? Can you tell me why?
