MAPI simply stands for Mail API. It is a Micro$oft definition for a
simple standard programming interface by which an MUA may be summoned
to create and deliver a message by an external application. The
M$-Office suite is equipped with MAPI calling and this is the usual
reason that support is looked for in TB.

MAPI is not present in current versions.
