Did someone answer your question? I've had TB for so long, I don't
remember what it does on install anymore, but I know I set it up to be
the default mailer after installing it. I had to do this from the other
programs that I wanted to use TB, that is, the browser and the
newsreader. As I use Opera as my browser - and you probably don't - I
can't give you the specifics, but if you click around in the browser's
settings, you should find some place where you can specify the mailer to
use - I think.
