The %QINCLUDE macro doesn't work for external files, it works
only for quick templates. In order to use your external file as a
template you need to put:
%INCLUDE="c:\program files\the bat!\work.txt" in your
template.
Quick templates with the %QINCLUDE macro makes it hardly ever
necessary to use remote text file templates. Do the following:
a) Create a quick template and copy and paste the contents of work.txt
to it.
b) Give it a handle name such as 'work' when creating the quick
template.
c) Instead of using the %INCLUDE macro and remote filepath, you may
instead type in:
%QINCLUDE="work" .... and you'll achieve the same effect. No
more remote file templates.
