Actually I'd love it. I used to run my 14" at 1184x884 (filled my 1M
VRAM tighter than 1152x864, did it in XFree86 on Linux where you can
set your own video card timing, but I still wonder why 1152 came into
use since 1176x884 is 4:3 and is a lot closer to 1M pixel) and just
crank the font size up. Much better in my eye; a same-screen-size font
at higher rez is going to look a lot better! Of course that does
depend on being able to maintain a high refresh rate (I suggest 72Hz
minimum).
