of "Message downloading indicator box is off-screen":

Well, before you go diving into the registry and ripping out the
co-ords for the box, why not disable the "Sticky Send / Receive
Windows" option temporarily just to pull it back to default position
then re-enable it once you've got a handle on the thing.
