I use NAV with The Bat!, have not had to do anything special with
configuration, and have had no conflicts whatsoever.
In my *personal experience* over the last several years, NAV works
better than McAfee, with fewer conflicts with other software. I keep
it up-to-date religiously, and it has not failed to find
virus-infected software and deal with it appropriately. No anti-virus
software functions as efficiently with trojans, and I use other
software to scan for trojans - the package I use *does* detect SS
Gold. I also utilize personal firewall software. My system is built
around a PII and Win98 - if yours is similar and you wish to know more
about the combination I use, e-mail me.
