The best way to take care of that folder that appears on both machines
is to rename one of them. Then copy those folders onto the laptop and
create folders with the same name. It will tell you that the folder
already exists, and do you want to use it. Say yes, and then move the
messages in the folder you renamed (so as to avoid conflict of the
other same named folder) to the correct folder. Then delete that
renamed folder.
