Well here's my basic filtering scheme, which works good for me:
1: is it from TB discussion lists? filter to own folder, or if no then go on.
2: is my email address in the recipient? if not, it's probably spam, trash it.

All TB UDL/Beta messages go to their own folder. Other than TB messages, all the
mail I receive are specifically addressed to me (thus the second filter) or else
it's almost surely spam. Regular emails from friends, family, and business
acquaintances bypass both filters and end up in Inbox. Do I make sense? Anyway,
this filtering scheme filters out almost all my spam.
