If you are using any browser other than IE, holding shift will open
the URL in a new browser window. No shift means it will open in the
last open window. So for example, click on the following link to
 open your browser.

 http://www.ritlabs.com

Now leave that window open and shift click on,

 http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com

Now leave those both open and just regular click on,

 http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/faq.shtml

There should only be two windows open, one at www.ritlabs.com and the
 other at the pcwize site.

If you are using IE and have it set to force open a new window, then
this obviously won't work, you'll have 3 open windows regardless of
the shift key or no shift key. Also, if you were using Opera, there
used to be some small issues, but I don't know if they have been
resolved in the final release. I'm sure someone will correct me if
I've made any grievous errors or omissions.

 Hope that helps a little.
