 I think this is because you click on your message somewhere, so the
 cursor is set somewhere "random" in the message. Then shift-click is
 the windows standard for selecting a block of text. So how is TB
 supposed to know which you want to do? Admittedly it is a bit of a
 shame that ctrl-click wasn't used, but I guess nobody really thought
 of this slight interaction.
