Hello Bat! Users,
I've been using TheBat! (v. 1.32) for about a year and until last week
when I 'click-on' the shortcut icon the program opened almost
immediately; last week I updated my Norton AV virus definition
patterns and the problem above started after that update (not sure if it's
even related since I have done numerous previous updates; also ran the
new updates w/o a virus being detected). Scandisk (+ Norton's Disk
doctor) shows no lost clusters; rebooting the computer (running Win95
v. .950b)does not correct the problem. Also, if I click on the file
via Explorer the same slow opening occurs - right clicking also brings
up the menu but now much delayed; right clicking on all other files in
TheBat! folder opens the menu immediately. I have downloaded v. 1.42f
but have not done an installation yet - not sure if my previous
messages, address book, etc will be maintained (seems to be some
problem reading the archives); also not certain if my previous codes
can be used w/ the newest version w/o doing a re-purchase? Any
suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
