EEEK! That happened to me as well.
Hitting <SHIFT><CTRL><ALT><L> should do it once the directory in the
preferences corresponds with the location of your mail.
The next time you wish to do this without pain, is to close TB!, move the
directory, then open the registry editor and change the path to the
directory from there. The entry to change is in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/RIT/The Bat!/Users depot
It's quite clear what the keys are saying here and the paths are written
in plain English for editing. :-)
After you've edited the path in the registry you then restart TB!. It will
be as if nothing was changed.
The previous method could result in your losing your folder templates
(correct me if I'm wrong here).
