Hmm. I would suspect it to work anyway only if the connection has
already been established. Which I would like to prevent in the first
place (da mooneeyyyy, ya know! ;-D)

:-) My method exactly. ALA you got an external modem - until very
recently I hadn't - so it really got on my nerves.
