OK, here's a silly action.
Close TB.
Make a copy of your address book.
Start TB.
Delete the odd behaving entries.
Create a backup of your address with TB.
Restore your backup.
Re-create your problem entries.

And  now  you're  at it, compare the sizes of your old and new address
book.
