Here, the setting "This account is default for Mailto: URLs" only controls what its name suggests: the account for a new message started by clicking on a Mailto: URL. (If there is a default, the new message initiated from the Mailto: URL opens with that account selected. Otherwise I get the "choose account" dialogue and the message opens after I have picked the account I require.) When I start a new message in the normal way from TB!'s menus, the account pre-selected for that message is controlled by which folder is active in the folder tree. If that folder belongs to an account, the message opens with that account pre-selected.
