That's possible: i use it all the time & for this reason:
the trash has the same sound-settings as inbox, outbox & sent...
Why should i mark a message as 'read' when i want to delete it without
hearing a sound?
So every mail i wish to delete gets moved to my inbox\spam-folder &
gets deleted... without a sound :-)
