Tuesday, June 20, 2000 Hello Bat-users, In case anyone has problems with UDP packets in the USA (like things not working like messenger / icq), the backbone was hacked a few days ago or as it was said 'smurfed'... according to ADIS.... they were subject to a smurf attack from the worldcom side of the house.... they have secured all UDP traffic Anyway, as a result ICQ is down in at least 3 states if not more, same with messenger and similar tools..... So as they arent likely to anounce it loudly (g) I asume its a matter of patience till MS and AOL convince them that to be hacked is better then no service (g) or money for Ms and AOL... States involved include Florida, Georgia and I think Alabama... -- Best regards, tracer Using theBAT 1.45 Beta/1 NO MICROSOFT VIRUS INFECTIONS mail to : [EMAIL PROTECTED] using FireTalk: 321338 -- -------------------------------------------------------------- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double click here: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, double click here and send the message: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------
