Thanks Miguel, I had actually disabled mail ticker already for all accounts but the flying is not affected by this setting :( As far as I can tell, the flying bat can not be set for specific accounts or folders only. The only setting I see is under Options -> Preferences-> General, and refers just to any unread messages.
