And a business message is often sent via snail mail, not email.

Welcome to the verge where business etiquette meets netiquette. I vote
for the latter, personally. I mean, if you want to be technical about it
you're also advocating that we include proper business headers. You know, the
ones that look like this:

                                                       Steve C. Lamb
                                                       1234 X-pert St. #A
                                                       0wn J00, AS 12345

Dear Sir,

I do believe what you are advocating looks like what is presented here.
If that is not the case, please make the appropriate changes and forward them
to my be-atch cawfee nabber so she may make those changes to the local
document. See enclosed attachment.

                                         Cordially,

                                         Steve Lamb

CC: Stewpid Fork, Lame-Nuts, Bert Pirate.
Att: Something or other

I'm sorry, but those conventions were made for a non-digital world. We
don't need all the added information in a business letter /in/ the body
because it is all available outside the body. In fact, if you look up the
above form in an textbook they will pointed out that the body is from "I do
believe" to "attachment." The above are headers, greeting and below is
closing and, crap, can't remember. Point is, they are all served by other
means in the digital world and we do not need to include them in the body of
the email itself.
