Actually, this sort of thing could be generally useful.

Imagine if the TB! developers allowed you to essentially define the
action that the delete key took (esp. by allowing it to fire off
filters or something), it would make TB! way more powerful.

Recently someone had the need to "Delete, do not pass Trash", and this
could be the behaviour if a user wanted it.  Some people might like to
"delete" messages into different folders, etc.  Very useful I think...

Of course, I presume the only reason that people don't just filter
into different folders to read in the first place is because TB!'s
cross-folder navigation is abysmally painful.  :(
