I remember running into this when I converted my mail into Outlook
Express (which is what I used before switching to TB). My memory is
vague since it happened long ago, and I don't have Eudora installed
to test anymore. What I remember is Eudora use HTML whenever you
format your text in any way (mark as bold, italic, etc.). It's also
possible it replies to a html message with html, regardless your
setting (OE does this).

I don't think it happened on importing. No reason for TB to add html
code on importing, especially considering that TB doesn't do html
mail itself.

Eudora's mailbox is in plain text, so the easiest way to confirm is
to take a look at the original .mbx files with a text editor. I'm
pretty sure you'll see the same html codes in them.

I know there are utilities that do that, but I can't recommend any
since I don't use one. Or you may copy-paste the message body to a
text editor, save it as a .htm file, and view it in your browser.
