I haven't found a better email client, and I personally don't think it is "full of bugs". It is not 100% bug-free, but I haven't seen the software that is. You might be used to higher standards though. What was the email client that you were using before finding The Bat? Why were you looking for a new one, if I may ask? Anyway, your question about closing the mail despatcher really is for TBUDL, The Bat User Discussion List. I'm crossposting this reply there.
