Depends on what you call a large number. If you mean 5-10 thousand
messages ... yes. I personally have folders with message bases
containing up to 10,000 messages. They work OK, with no loss of data so
far. I've been using the same installation since initially using TB!
since March 1999. I haven't had to restore from a backup.

As far as I know, there's no limitation on the number of messages one
can store in a folder or the number of entries one can keep in the
address book.
