Hi To All You BAT-ty People,
I don't know if anyone has tried this or not but it works well for
me. I have all of my filters to move messages to particular folders
set up as Read message filters. This speeds up reading mail because
the only folder I need to check for new mail is my Inbox. It a
message is spam I skip reading it and move to the next message. All
of my legitimate mail gets filed in the correct folders after it is
read. Thus the only messages remaining in my Inbox after a mail
session are junk and I simply select all and delete. I have found
this to be most effective and much easier than trying to come up with
"catch-all" filters for spam. The added benefit of only having to
open the Inbox folder to read mail makes new messages easy to find
and the folder opens very fast because at the start of each new mail
session the Inbox is empty. It is worth a shot if you are tired of
spam or needs to speed up your mail reading times.
