The registry key used by TB is
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!]
in both Win98 and Win2k, but the export from Win2k regedit would
start with the following line:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
which makes the regedit in Win98 to reject it, for the latter is
version 4.
I've no idea what changes have been made to the exported .reg file
format, most likely a new data type or two that Win98 registry (or
regedit) doesn't support. There's nothing of this sort (AFAIK) under
the [...\The Bat!] key, so you should be able to import it after
replacing the "... 5.00" line and replace it with "REGEDIT4". I
haven't tried it, though. (It's always a good idea to backup the
registry before messing with it.)
