Hi Fred,

On 20 September 2000 at 09:21:59 GMT -0400 (which was 14:21 where I
live) Fred Weissman wrote and made these points on the subject
of ""Trusted Root CA" in Address Book":

FW> Maybe this has been discussed recently, but I don't recall seeing it.

FW> I'm running v1.46 and have noticed two folders in my address book that I
FW> didn't put there: Trusted Root CA and Intermediate CA. If I delete them,
FW> they reappear the next time I launch TheBat.

FW> What are they for?

They are the S/MIME Central Authorities.

FW> Do I need them?

Yes

FW> Why can't I get rid of them?

Because they are needed for S/MIME.

FW> How?

You can't

FW> Thanks...

That's okay ;-)
