Hello Curtis,

A reminder of what Curtis ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) typed on:

CC> Either I seem to have missed it, or I didn't understand it, or maybe
CC> I'm just not at speed yet, but I still am stumped by how to set up my
CC> Bat as an auto-responder for things like PGP Public Key, among other
CC> uses.

Step 1) Create a sub folder off of TB! called Key.

Step 2) Export your Public key as an .asc file to this folder.

Step 3) Create a text file that you want to use as the response to a
key request, PGP sign it and save it as signature.txt in the Key folder.

Step 4) Create a filter that will capture the key request. My filter
captures the string "PGPkeyrequest" in the subject line. In that
filter, under the Actions tab click the little box for "Send Autoreply"
Click on the box next to it to edit the template and enter this text.

%PUT="C:\Program Files\The Bat!\KEY\signature.txt"

%ATTACHFILE="C:\Program Files\The Bat!\KEY\Curtis Campbell.asc"

Step 5) Create a mailto: in your signature similar to mine below, that
includes the filter trigger as the subject.

Step 6) Create yourself an email with the trigger as the subject. Drag
the message from the outbox to the inbox and refilter the messages. This
should result in a new email, the body of which will be signature.txt
and your key as an attachment.

I myself also filter the message from the inbox to another folder I call
PGP Key requests. That way I can keep track of who requests my key, not
that it's essential, you could just slap it in the trash.

It's best to think of a trigger that is unique. I got a request from
someone who used exactly the same subject as me and we spent the next 18
months sending our keys to each other without knowing it :-)

I think that just about covers it. Don't think I missed anything, if I
have and you have trouble just shout.
