As a complete aside, for those who really require a high level of
Power in the sending/receiving of email, I would suggest actually
looking into setting up a mail server on your own system.
There were a number out there a few years ago that would pull
from POP3 mailboxes, deliver the mail to the local boxes you
wanted, send via POP3 or SMTP, etc. To your mail client, its
just a different POP3 and SMTP server, but then you have the
power to really do complex things(schedule the mail transfers,
have it automatically dial up, send and receive mail, and
disconnect, many mail servers are coming with built in
spam-filters that use a number of proprietary guesses into
detecting and segregating spam, etc).
I don't know whats out there know, but I find it difficult to
beleive the market has not gotten richer.
