Hi Jan,
On 25 October 2000 at 19:37:47 GMT -0400 (which was 00:37 where I
live) Jan Rifkinson wrote and made these points on the subject
of "clearing/using %clipboard":
JR> what's the difference in usage if %clipboard is %QINCLUDEd or if
JR> %clipboard is in an actual template?
None AFAIK. "Actual" templates are anchored to specific objects in the
TB system - account, folders, AB groups, AB entries. QTs are short
templates which can be %QINCLUDED into any of these templates or
invoked in real time. QTs can be multiply reused throughout the system
whereas "actual" templates are used in a single location. I like to
think of Quick Templates as "Super Macros" which are invoked with the
%QINLCLUDE standard macro.
So, whether the %clipboard macro is invoked in a template or
indirectly with a reference to a quick template, I can't see that
there would be any difference.
FWIW, I don't think I have a template without at least one %QINCLUDE.
