live) Kari Jakobi wrote and made these points on the subject
of "new mails received view order":

Certainly. the "Message Window" is, in fact, a folder view with its
own message list and sort order. To set these up correctly you have to
enable the menu option to View -- Message List.
You may wish to leave that enabled. It should clear up the confusion,
anyway.
