Hello Jan,

On Fri, 3 Nov 2000 at 18:00:32 GMT -0500 (which was 3:00 PM
where I live) witnesses say Jan Rifkinson typed:

> Well, this is still escaping me. Would you be so
> kind as to tell me exactly how you set up a group
> & how you address an email to that "group".

Here is an excerpt of a message I sent to TBUDL on October 15, 2000

c====Begin Excerpt====
1. create a group (Edit -> Create group)
2. Give it a name and a handle. Deselect "Hide items if not
   explicitly selected.
3. Now in the left hand side of the address book, you'll have a tree
   structure. Expand the tree and select the top level.
4. From the right hand side, choose your contacts you want to add to
   the group. Drag them to the group on the left hand side.
5. Now when you create a new message, type in the group's handle.
   When you Tab out of the To: field, TB will expand the addresses to
   handle <list>

Although it looks like TB will attempt to send to an invalid address,
the list is substituted before hitting your mail server. If you
include yourself in the group, you'll see what I mean.
c===End Excerpt====
