Hello syv,
On Tue, 7 Nov 2000 at 20:54:17 GMT -0800 (which was 8:54 PM
where I live) witnesses say syv typed:

Ok, I'll be more specific. What macros are you using? It sounds like
a template problem. TB *can't* and will *not* generate a different
message for each recipient in a list. One message addressed a group
will be sent exactly as it is seen to *everyone* on that list. If you
post the macros you are using (not the personal part of the template),
we can help clear this up. I have a feeling you are trying to use
some fancy %To macro that just won't work as you intended. But if you
post part of the template, maybe we can rule out that possibility, or
find you a solution that will work as intended.

Ok, that sounds fine. Did your other recipients receive duplicates
too? How many copies of the message are in your Sent folder? Do you
have any outgoing filters set up on this account?
> 3. Sent the message to myself with the list <list> in the BCC.
How did you address it to yourself? Did you use the address book or
did you manually enter your address? If you used the address book, is
it possible you have multiple addresses listed in your entry?
> 4. I received 4 messages addressed to myself.
Ok, from what you've posted, it sounds like a template problem or a
mail server problem. But we do need more details before much
assistance can be provided. Are the messages *identical*? IOW, are
there any differences in the RFC-822 headers? (View -> RFC-822 Headers)

Well, I get duplicate messages on this list every now and then. It
seems to be random, but given the nature of your question, it was
worth exploring.
Please post as much information as you can regarding this problem. I
can't help you if I don't know how you have things configured.
Obviously, edit the information so you're not posting personal info.
But at the same time, don't block out all information.
For example:
===Begin Template===
%Clear
Hi %BCCLIST,
<my message>
Have fun,
<my name>
<my address>
%Subject="[List] %Subj"
%To="[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
and so on
===End Template===
As you can see, the above example tells you nothing about me, but
it does show enough to see that there is a %To macro that could be
worth investigating.
