Hello The Bat! developers, I'm using The Bat! Version 1.48 Beta/4 Serial Number 8645E6FE under Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 1 and would like to report a bug The bug description: When a message is not ended with a newline (0D0Ah), The Bat! would show the message without the last two characters. Steps to reproduce the bug: 1. Export any message to a .msg file. 2. Edit the .msg file with an editor, and delete everything after the last character--i.e., all empty lines at the end of the message. Make sure you can't move past the last character in the editor (unless it's a free caret editor). If possible, switch to hex mode to make sure it doesn't end with 0D0Ah. 3. Import the modified message into TB, and you'll see the last two characters of the message are missing. Additional notes: 1. This bug was originally reported by Kiyan Azarbar in the thread titled "Panic sets in: could this be???". 2. Kiyan caught the bug with the newest official release of TB (v1.47 Halloween Edition), and confirmed here with the newest beta (1.48 b4). 3. The characters only appear to be missing, they're in fact still there in the message base. 4. Mail fetched from mailandnews.com with IMAP4 protocol would manifest the bug should the message is not ended with a newline. Mail fetched with POP3 protocol wouldn't.
