Yes - this is an option on the "Actions" tab for filters. Also, you
can denote which folders new messages are shown on the ticker.

Please use "new message" when posting a new topic on this list. It
makes a complete mess of the threading when you reply to an existing
topic just to get the address of the list filled in. To make it worse,
your message was highlighted for my attention as being part of a
thread in which I was involved! That's one way to grab the moderator's
attention <g>.
