Good question: when I arrived in Taiwan, they proudly presented this
brand-new PC to me, with Windows pre-installed. Little did they think
that there are people out there in world who cannot read Chinese...
This is the true reason. They simply didn't think of installing an
English version. I have since been trying to get an English Win98, but
so far they have come up with an English Win95, a Spanish Win98,... I
have been here only 20 months, so there is still hope. ;-)
