I disagree here; when I read Allie's reply to Doug's I also thought,
"phew how awkward. Doug meant sometimes much simpler". That was from a
usuability POV, not ridiculing.
I would also like to see what Doug says about this. He has been
awfully quiet - but, then, I don't know his time zone or work
schedule.

Me neither, but that's the same as with HTML: I don't like it, but
it's coming more and more. I just saw a TV report about future
mailers, and the reporter happily announced that it will be possible
to include videos, voice mail, and all kinds of multimedia into an
email! Spare me, please - but Joe Public wants this stuff, so it's
going to come :-(

Not on this list, but out there is the RW (real world). Whatever that
may be .... (just saw Matrix again <g>).
