It is so unobtrusive IMHO that I had to look at the screen shot a
couple of time until I saw Marcks point. ;-)

How big is your (physical) screen? I have several windows open and
switch (17 inch monitor). I guess with a bigger monitor I could work
better.

I see your point. But then, have you tired folder / Genral / [ ] Show
unread messages in Mail Ticker? Isn't this what you mean?
