It's a known bug, and I consider it minor; along with the fact that
you have to hit a cursor key before alt-L has any functionality (try
putting the cursor into a paragraph with the mouse, not the keybaord
and then hit alt-L. Nothing happens.)
I can live with it. <shrug>
