When I saw ztrader's message about "news lists ",
I felt like making these comments:

JR>> Thanks for educating me. I'm currently fooling around with
JR>> Opera v5 as well which seems to have a news reader.

z> Opera is now spyware. See alt.privacy and alt.privacy.spyware and

z> see also http://accs-net.com/smallfish/cydoor.htm

As a registered Opera user:

I see no references to Cydoor in my registry settings as stated on the
Website. Is Opera supposed to install Cydoor on the system?

I also ran 'Ad aware' on my system and it found no Opera related
spyware. http://www.lavasoft.de/aaw/index.html

I again have come up with a clean system. I had previously run Optout
which came up with a clean system.

It would therefore seem that if you're a registered Opera 4 user, the
adware is not installed. I installed version 5 on top of my registered
version 4.
