Hi all, I hope everybody's having great hollidays. My wife isn't... After months
of negotiations she finaly agreed to move from Outlook Express to The Bat
earlierthis year.
Our PC is a Celeron 433 with 128MB RAM, Win98 SE, three profiles - mine, my
wife's and our son's. I have my own installation of TheBat , working great.
Yesterday I upgraded ( being very stupid I guess) my wife's version from 1.39 to
1.48f . I remember something about discussions on upgrading, so that I maybe
shouldn't have jumped between versions the way I did. What happened was that all
messages between May and today are not there in her Inbox folder any more.
Please don't flame me if this is in the list archives - I'm up there now
searching but I don't find my way around so well.. so if there is a simple way
of getting the old messages back - be so kind and let me know. Looking in the
Explorer - in the structure of TheBat folder, there is a file named
"Messages.msb", and the date of the last change is 2000-12-22, which makes me
believe it's a folder containing all her messages but TheBat is only showing
messages until May this year.
This is very confusing. I know we should have done some kind of a backup
ocasionalybut I never did that in my installation of TheBat so I guess
everything should've work fine here as well. Oh well....
Anybody willing to help ? Thanks very much in advance :-)
