Hello Andrew Hodgson,

On Sun, 7 Jan 2001 at 17:33:43 GMT -0000(which was 1/8/2001 12:33 AM
where you think I live) you told to the list :

AH> The faq does not answer this question, even though I was told this
AH> could be set up.

Perhaps you confuse with Network Mode on The Bat! configuration :-)

AH> Can I set up the bat to run as a smtp server for accepting mail?

No.
The Bat! can run on Multi user mode (just like Pegasus mailer).

AH> Also, can I have multiple users, and send mail to those "local"
AH> users without having to send mail out and then for them to receive
AH> it back in again with pop3?

Yes.
But I didn't test the network configuration myself, so if you ask how
to setting this up, perhaps anyone will help

AH> Thanks - I was just wanting to refine my mailtraq/mercury setup.

If you think that The Bat! can replace the job of your Mercury/32, the
answer is NO. The Bat! is E-mail Client *not* E-mail Server.
