Hello Bat! Folk:
I have to confess: I hate the ticker. I hate it because it comes on
all by itself (OK, accidentally) and that brings what I'm composing
to a screeching halt until all those unread messages add up on the
ticker - it won't quit counting them until it's done, usually;
before I can turn it off again (hide actually, because I know it's
going to come back on, when I least want it to).
So - today I started looking for folders that had the ticker
activated (I'd already taken it off of most of them - or so I
thought.
It turns out that the outbox, sent & trash all have the sticker set
as default, and that crazy (batty, as it were).
And THAT Bat! folk, is the reason for this post: IS there a way to
set NO TICKER as the default folder setting?
Also, is there a way to really disable (rather than simply hide) it?
I have too much mail that never gets read, unless I determine which
boxes I want to use it on.
