Hi Thomas,
On 08 January 2001 at 17:29:12 +0800 (which was 09:29 where I
live) Thomas Fernandez wrote and made these points:

Qoud Erest Demonstrating only that "Q" is not one of the "special"
values. When you are using a fixed string that you know isn't and
won't in the future be one of TBs special quotestyle indicators,
like "I" or "F" or "N" etc., then it will work, but only by chance.
If your quotestyle is any kind of variable then you're asking for
Trouble. It could yield anything, particularly one of the specials.
The *correct* syntax is to put the extra '=' sign to say "what
follows is a constant string and *not* a TB special quotestyle".
Sure, it will work without *to an extent*, but it misleading to say
"that is the way to use it" and may serve to confuse.
