Thanx for all answers. The last point is the hint i needed: Nicks only
expand, when you leave the "TO:" field with a "TAB" or if you click in
the "subject"-field. I always used the mouse to click in the
Message-Field because i do very much forwarding&redirecting and
almost never entered any subject by my own.
Sounds like a minor bug.
