What works for me is to turn on the compress option for each folder I want
compressed when closing. "I" haven't tried to figure out a way to automatically
do what your asking so I will defer that to others. When I want to do a purge
and compress without leaving I manually do it. Yes, time consuming, that is why
I pick a folder every now and then to do the process. I have four accounts.
Three with passwords and limitations. When I shut down at night or just want to
do a compress I can shut off the Bat and I can see it compressing each folder.
Then I can start the Bat Back up again.
I will say *beware* in doing this. "for me" this process worked fine, until I
did a *defrag* on the hard drive. I literally lost everything. THe bat couldn't
find my posts, folders were there, but no posts. I had to do a complete reinstall
and used my back up. So, if nothing else be sure to back up frequently. I have
always had that problem since I started using the bat a year ago. So, it could
be just my machine, i don't know.
