I'm fairly new to TB! myself, but I'll take a stab at these and I'm certain the
"old-timers" will set me straight if I'm incorrect! As far as I know, TB! can
retreive/send mail for web-based accounts ONLY if the web-based accounts support
POP3/SMTP (as does Yahoo email). From a quick glance at Hotmail, it doesn't
appear they support POP3/SMTP, although it seems that POP3/SMTP support is
becoming more common for web-based email accounts.

Presently no. I don't know if this is in the works or not. Personally I hope
TB! doesn't go the way of Opera and try to be everything to everybody, although
I suppose if it were done right without sacrificing quality in email
features/functionality it might be OK. Have you tried Free Agent for news? I'm
not an avid newsgroup user, but I have been much happier with Agent for my
limited news usage than I was with OLE.
