Good day all,
I am a registered user and am having some
nasty email problems. I am using version 1.49 on Win98 2nd
edition on an old PIII 600 with 256mb of ram. I have NOT
altered my configurations for The Bat in the least for months.
I have called the technical support people for my incoming mail
server and they say their servers are up and running fine (which
could mean anything).
Hotmail can log into my POP server and get email just fine.
Here is what's happening.
It takes anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes to receive an email
that is no more than 10k in size.
If there are more than one message, it receives the first one
then gives an error message regarding being timed out and FETCH
ain't working. (I don't have the original error because I have
restarted The Bat and lost my log of connecting messages, sorry).
The Bat will receive that same message, date and time is the same, all
morning or all afternoon.
I can log into Mailstart (at least I could before they went to a
fee) and Hotmail to receive my incoming mail with no problems.
This is an intermittent problem and only happens several times a
week. Usually gives me a good excuse for getting something to
eat.
Any ideas?
