I think I found the reason for this misbehavior. I had a separate AB
with some duplicate names. Once I dumped it, the problem seemed to
disappear but I'm still testing.
I always thought that duplicate names in a single AB would cause
weird little problems like this to arise but it never occurred to me
that it would appear with duplicates in a *different* AB.
Touchy.
